Portrait of A Grizzly Bear

A Volcanic Stainless Steel Painting.

The Grizzly Bear as an animal and symbol.
This painting is the first in my series about the human and the beast. How we are 1 in the same. How the Bear represents fear and power. Its cultural importance is deeply woven into our world and politics. Recently taken off the endangered species list. Now its land and habitat is open for mining and fracking. I think we need to examine how we silently try to preserve wildland and wildlife on the backs of endangered species. We should be loud and proud, not sneaky and afraid when creating law to preserve land and animal. We are about to lose so much more than we have lost in the past.
